Q. How does NEOSPORIN LT® Lip Treatment work?

NEOSPORIN LT® Lip Treatment contains 2 active ingredients: one active ingredient moisturizes and protects lips while the other helps relieve the pain and itching associated with cold sores and severely dry, chapped lips.


Q. What types of conditions can I use NEOSPORIN LT® Lip Treatment for?
A.

Cold sores or severely dry chapped lips. The product should be used externally on the lips.


Q. How do I use NEOSPORIN LT® Lip Treatment?
A.

  • For cold sores or chapped lips:
    1. At first sign of cold sore, apply to sensitive area.
    2. Or, for cracking or dryness, cover lips completely.
  • Apply directly to lips or apply to your finger and then cover your lips.
  • Apply to affected area 3 to 4 times daily.

Q. How will it feel when I apply the product?
A. If you have pain, the pain will lessen. Dryness and cracking should lessen with repeated use.

Q. How often can I apply NEOSPORIN LT® Lip Treatment?
A.

Apply to the affected area not more than 3 to 4 times daily.


Q. How much should I apply each time?
A. Enough to completely cover the cold sore or chapped lips.

Q. What ages can this be used on?
A.

Adults and children 2 years of age and older.
Children under age 2: consult a doctor before using.


Q. When will I see a change in my cold sore symptoms and dry, chapped lips?
A.

When the product is applied, pain should lessen and dryness/cracking should reduce with repeated use.

  • Severely Dry Chapped Lips:
    The product temporarily protects and helps relieve chapped and cracked lips.
  • Cold Sores
    Temporarily relieves pain and itching associated with cold sores.

Q. Should I wear this with other products like lipstick or lip moisturizers?

When wearing lipstick, it is better to apply NEOSPORIN LT® Lip Treatment first to allow the protective ingredients to be in direct contact with lips.
It is not necessary to use NEOSPORIN LT® Lip Treatment with other lip products.

  • When using this product avoid contact with eyes.
  • Stop use and ask a doctor if the condition worsens or does not improve within 7 days.
  • Stop use and ask a doctor if the symptoms persist for more than 7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days.

A. In clinical Safety Studies of NEOSPORIN LT® Lip Treatment no side affects were reported with use of product.

Q. Is this product tested on animals?
A. No.

A. The product has not been tested for this (hypoallergenicity.)

Q. Does the packaging contain latex?
A. There is no latex present in the packaging, but there may be traces in manufacturing.
